MANUEL RODRIGUEZ INTRODUCES 'NEW ERA' CLASSICAL GUITARS

Based in Esquivas, near the historic city of Toledo, and geographically located at the very heart of Spain, Manuel Rodriguez
Guitarras has been a vibrant family-owned luthiery concern since 1905. With a family history steeped in guitar tradition,
the late Manuel Rodriguez Snr was the grandson of flamenco guitarist Manuel Rodriguez Marequi, and son of Manuel
Rodriguez Perez, also a maker of fine classical guitars.

With a wide range of classical models available to suit players from novice level to concert performers, Manuel Rodriguez
continues to imbue their meticulously-constructed, richly-toned classical and electro-classical instruments with all the passion
expected of a family whose lifeblood is so intertwined with such a firmly integral part of Spanish culture and tradition.

Rodriguez’ high quality tonewoods are sourced from Brazil, Cameroon, Honduras, India and Canada. All guitar assembly work,
including time-consuming varnishing and polishing work, plus all the intricate associated detail work, adds up to thousands of
hours of hands-on input to make these guitars the best in the world.

Manuel Rodriguez Guitarras are also now thoroughly involved in the challenging project of building a new generation of
‘ecological guitars’, using FSC-approved and sanctioned woods. The Patent Of FSC Woods certifies that the afforestation of woods
involved in the production of Manuel Rodriguez guitars has been subject to ‘cut controls’ in the respective forests, meaning that each tree which
has been cut must be replaced with a new sapling, in addition to funding new planting woods such as walnut or maple, to protect
and preserve the planet’s life-giving forestry.
