Grammy award-winning bassist Bootsy Collins is Fishman's newest
high-profile endorser, having taken a shine to the all-new Fishman
Fission Bass Powerchord FX pedal, which is distributed by John
Hornby Skewes & Co. Ltd.
Bootsy, a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame who has played
with the likes of soul Godfather James Brown over his 40-year
career, is instantly recognisable for his uniquely driving bass
and vocal skills, not to mention his outrageously flamboyant
and colourful style.
The Fission Bass Powerchord FX joins Fishman's stellar range
of stompboxes. The pedal lets any bassist lay down beds of power
by adding stacked harmonies over their bass lines. An intuitive
set of controls and foot switches allows several combinations
of octaves and 4ths and 5ths above the root note to combine
to produce powerchords or octave-up effects.
The Fission's four footswitch LEDs give you visible indication
of the selected harmony, and it’s also a multi-effect
pedal, with up to three voices of harmony, adjustable noise
gate, overdrive, tone and effect level.
