JHS and Dunlop join forces for UK sales training tour
John Hornby Skewes and Co Ltd, the UK and Eire distributors
for Dunlop Manufacturing USA, have just completed a successful series
of in-store training seminars on the full range of Dunlop products.
Dunlop's International Sales Manager, Erjan van der Laan visited stores
around the UK, accompanied by JHS Area Sales Managers, to provide valuable
technical and information on this popular and profitable brand, which
also includes the Jeorge Tripps Way Huge Series and MXR Pedals.
The tour comes hot on the heels of the UK launch of the Dunlop
Heavy Core Series, and saw demos of the amazing new Way Huge Aqua Puss
and Angry Troll pedals, the MXR Classics, Signature and Innovations
Series pedals and Custom Audio Electronics pedals from fully-loaded
Diago Pedalboards.
“We all know Dunlop is a fantastic brand and having Erjan come
over and spend time in the stores with our sales guys helps us all better
understand the detail and attention behind the Dunlop/MXR brand that
makes it the market leader," says Alan Smith, JHS
Executive Director of Sales & Marketing "and we’re
pleased to continue to support the brand with our best ever special
offers”.
Dunlop's Erjan van der Laan says, "Focusing on the fantastic Way
Huge series, including the ‘5 out of 5’ Aqua Puss Analog
Delay (Guitar Buyer June 2010), this tour was a great
opportunity to meet dealers across the country and update everyone on
detailed information regarding this great line of special
guitar effects pedals and their nifty internal controls."
Erjan continues "These truly are 'boutique' pedals at high street
prices. Watch out for some other amazing new product coming soon!”
With exciting deals and free swag provided to the dealers, the JHS/Dunlop
Training Tour has been a great success, with a number of dealerships
becoming Dunlop 'Centres of Excellence' in recognition of staff product
knowledge and range availability. Naturally, all Dunlop associated
products will be demonstrated and on show at the JHS EVENT 2010, on
the 13th-16th June.
