HK
Audio, distributed in the UK & Eire by John Hornby Skewes
& Co. Ltd., is set to make this year's Belfast Nashville Songwriters
Festival the best sounding yet.
The festival, now in its seventh year, is dedicated to songs and the
people who write them. Held between The 23rd and the 27th of February,
and featuring 42 concerts, 15 workshops and 150 songwriters, top names
performing this year include Billy Bragg, Cerys Matthews and Ricky Warwick.
Festival organisers invited applications from interested parties to
provide PA systems for the various concert locations, which include
venues as unconventional as a church hall. In the end, though, it was
a no-brainer, with EMS Audio's plan to use HK Audio's new flagship Elements
system the obvious choice.
Elements is part of HK Audio's revolutionary Portable Sound range. Elements
systems are highly portable, light, and take only minutes to install
thanks to their wireless E-Connect technology. They leave only a tiny
footprint on stage and look sophisticated and modern too.
EMS Audio's Director, Les Hume, said: “The festival is a great
opportunity to show off the technical wonder that is Elements. It will
be used to deliver a mighty sound in a discrete fashion for artists
such as Brian Kennedy, Cerys Matthews and Nanci Griffith. The venue
holds 700 people and is ideally suited to the styling of the 18th Century
Belfast city centre church. At other venues we will be using both HK
Audio Actor and Elias systems along with D.A.R.T. and F.A.S.T. monitors.”
EMS Audio is the only company in Northern Ireland to display a full
range of HK Audio products at its retail premises – Dawsons Music
in Bangor.
