April 2011
Flaming
Guitars – A night not to miss at Musikmesse!
The JHS stand at Musikmesse, situated in Hall 4.1 F17, will be graced
by a number of outstanding musicians, with millions of album sales and
heaps of public and industry acclaim between them. And what better way
to showcase their talents than for them to play a one-off gig together?
Ladies and gentlemen, we give you the one Messe event not to miss in
2011: Flaming Guitars.
On Friday April 8th, a Vintage and Fret-King guitars extravaganza will
take place in Offenbach, with four mighty axe wielders tearing up the
stage. There will be thrills, chills and spills by the bucketload with
these top-notch six-stringers:
Martelle:
The organiser of Flaming Guitars. German musician, producer and writer
extraordinaire. Plays a Vintage VS6VW in Vintage White, among others.
Jerry Donahue:
The king of string-bending and co-designer of the new Fret-King Black
Label JD guitar.
Geoff Whitehorn:
Guitarist for Procol Harum, he’s recorded with Paul McCartney,
The Who, and many others.
Geoff plays a Vintage V100MRPGM Lemon Drop.
Thomas Blug:
German
guitar virtuoso honoured with a Vintage signature guitar, the V6MRTBG.

Looking forward
to the gig, Geoff said: 'It should be a laugh. I've always thought one
guitarist is enough in most musical situations (some would say even
that's one too many!), but four! We'll see. There'll be some good music,
a few cock-ups, and a few libations will be consumed, no doubt.' Martelle
said: 'Ladies and Gentlemen, it's time for another great Martelle event!
Flaming Guitars, rockin' the house. Satisfaction guaranteed!'
Flaming Guitars starts at 8pm, with tickets priced at a very reasonable
€10. The venue is KJK Sandgasse 26, Offenbach – which is
just a short cab ride from Frankfurt city centre. We’ll see you
down the front!
Vintage and Fret-King guitars are distributed worldwide by John Hornby
Skewes & Co. Ltd.
