Glamour Of The Kill's softer side comes out
with Vintage guitars

Rising metalcore outfit Glamour Of The Kill are one of the UK's great alternative music hopes.

Formed in York in January 2007, the band started quickly out of the blocks, their popularity assisted by a 10/10 Metal Hammer review for their debut demo EP Through The Dark They March. This led to tours with Bullet for My Valentine, Darkest Hour and Avenged Sevenfold, and the band have never looked back.

In 2008, GOTK licensed their debut release and played the Main Stage at the massive Download Festival. 2009 saw them play the UK leg of Sonisphere, a European festival headlined by Metallica and Linkin Park. This later led to the band touring with DragonForce in the UK.

Next, 2010 saw the band playing Eurosonic Festival, Holland, and a massive 38-date headline UK tour titled In For The Kill. The band also appeared at Powerfest, Amsterdam, and on the Red Bull stage at the Download Festival.

And 2011 has seen GOTK reach new heights, with debut album The Summoning receiving huge critical acclaim, and a number of high profile tours, including an extensive unplugged tour of HMV and other independent record stores across Britain.

For these shows, GOTK guitarist Mike Kingswood turned to a 12-string Vintage® Gordon Giltrap signature model. Mike said: "I take pride in the songs that I write, so I need something worthy to play them on – and my Vintage VE2000GG-12 definitely fits the bill!"

The band are now preparing for a prestigious support slot with Forever The Sickest Kids on their upcoming UK tour in October.
