HK AUDIO CELEBRATES 10 YEARS OF THE L.U.C.A.S 'PORTABLE PA' CONCEPT
In 1998, HK Audio's new L.U.C.A.S ‘sub + 2 x satellites’ format PA system aimed at the ‘performer’ market caused a revolution in the audio world. Here’s why...Up until the late 90’s, life could be tough for performers, bands and DJs who had their own ‘portable’ PA equipment. Even for pubs or smaller clubs you normally had to haul bulky speaker cabinets plus a power mixer up to the stage, and for some substantial bass, at least one additional sub, all putting further strain on your spine. The latter would also require an extra power amp and a crossover unit, necessitating even more orthopedic visits.
