Bassist David Bronze
Endorses Italia Rimini Bass
"I
was looking around for something a bit different when I spotted the
Rimini. I immediately loved the look of this bass, and also it's relatively
light weight due to the semi-hollow design. The neck is really comfortable
to play, the finish is absolutely superb and the bass balances very
nicely on the strap. Amplified it has a lively & versatile tone,
with a very useful range of classic sounds available between the 2 pickups."
– David Bronze
Dave's involvement in music began in his teens as a harmonica player
in a blues band. The band never gigged and never even had a name as
far as he can recall! However, he soon switched to bass and began treading
the time honoured path of playing in a succession of local bands which
eventually led to his first offer of a professional gig.
With the support and agreement of his family he decided to give music
a try for a year or so. That was over 30 years ago and he's still at
it! During those three decades Dave has appeared, on record or on stage,
alongside such household names as: The Art Of Noise, Joe Brown, Belinda
Carlisle, Paul Carrack, Eric Clapton, Roger Daltrey, Bo Diddley, Duane
Eddy, Dr. Feelgood, Bryan Ferry, Robin Gibb, Bryn Haworth, Nik Kershaw,
Jeff Lynne, Paul McCartney, Gary Moore, Billy Preston, Procol Harum,
Ringo Starr, Solomon Burke, Ben E King, Joe Walsh, Paul Weller, Mary
Wilson, Paul Rogers, Percy Sledge, Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings, Tom Jones
and many others.
He can be seen playing alongside Eric Clapton in the "Live in Hyde
Park" DVD, and the multi-platinum, Grammy award-winning tribute
to George Harrison, "Concert For George". He has also produced
several albums for various artists. Currently Dave is proud and delighted
to be working with his good friend and hugely talented singer/guitarist
Andy Fairweather Low, touring and recording as a member of The Low Riders,
alongside some of the finest musicians he has ever worked with; drummer
Paul Beavis and saxophonist Nick Pentelow. Dave can currently be heard
on the highly acclaimed new Tom Jones gospel/roots album, "Praise
& Blame" produced by the great Ethan Johns.
