PAUL RODGERS WITH RHYTHM TECH TAMBOURINES
One
of the most successful recent get-togethers in rock music's
'premier league' simply has to be that of legendary singer,
songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Paul Rodgers joining
forces with the remaining active members of Queen, namely
guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor.
With a recent album of original material out, 'The Cosmos
Rocks', celebrating the creative union of two of the most
distinctive-sounding acts of the past four decades, Queen
and Paul Rodgers first announced they would be playing as
an act back in 2005, backed up with a UK tour, which sold
out almost as soon as it was announced. Obviously, only a
seriously impressive vocal talent could live up to the reputation
of the late Freddie Mercury, but Paul's unmistakable voice,
combined with years of stadium-headlining experience mean
he's a consummate frontman, who had no problems slotting into
the stage front gig with Queen. Perhaps that's just as well,
given that a recent gig in the Ukraine saw an estimated 345,000
fans turn up for the concert...
Not one for letting the metaphorical grass grow under his
feet, alongside Paul's busy tour schedule with Queen, he also
continues to enjoy an ongoing frontman role with another hugely
succesful band from his past in the form of Bad Company, known
in the 70's for global hits such as 'Can't Get Enough' and
'Feel Like Making Love' which still receive huge amounts of
airplay around the world, even today.
And that's in addition to the Paul Rodgers solo tours, of
course! But, whichever show or act you catch Paul with, you'll
see him onstage during the set making the most of his redoubtable
Rhythm Tech Pro tambourines...
"The Rhythm Tech Tambourine is a real instrument,"
exclaims Paul. "It's amazingly robust and the design
enables you to perform a lot of rhythms and counter rhythms.
My artist wife Cynthia customises each one by hand painting
them, which adds to their uniqueness for me."
The re-designed and updated ergonomics of the Pro version
of Rhythm Tech’s iconic Crescent tambourine offers a
choice of either brass jingles or stainless steel jingles,
in a choice of two-tone colour schemes, costing £54.99.
Available with either nickel steel jingles or polished brass
jingles, the one that started the revolution, the legendary
Rhythm Tech Crescent tambourine, costs £34.99 and is
available in a variety of colours.
