trade distributor John Hornby Skewes & Co. Ltd. is gearing
up for a huge presence at the inaugural London Acoustic Guitar
Show on the weekend of September 10-11, and that is set to
be bolstered further by the presence of cult guitar designer
Paul Tebbutt, who will be joining the JHS stand on the Saturday.
Paul, who wowed the guitar world with his range of bowlback
Pilgrim electro-acoustics in the 80s, has recently teamed
up with Vintage® guitars to produce a stunning new line
of Pilgrim by Vintage banjos, which will be on display at
the show.
With classic designs and organic finishes that will appeal
to beginners, progressing players and professionals alike,
the range features fine tonewoods and premium hardware appointments,
and reflects Vintage’s reputation for performance and
value, along with Paul’s passion for quality, playability,
tradition and tone. Each of the eight exciting new models
brings something a little different to the banjo world, and
with prices ranging from £279 to £699, there's
something for every budget, level and taste.
Paul said: “I have waited many years for the right time
to present a unique and original range of banjos under the
Pilgrim by Vintage banner. I believe the new Pilgrim banjos
offer a quality and playability unprecedented and unequalled
by any other available instrument. Pilgrim by Vintage banjos
are created by a player for the player.”
The Acoustic Show is the perfect place to show off the fantastic
playability of the new line, and Paul will be offering advice
and stories to those who head over to the JHS booth.
He said: “I think that the London Acoustic Show is the
ideal venue for me to present the new Pilgrim banjo range
into the public arena and I am greatly looking forward to
meeting fellow banjo enthusiasts and players, and to answering
any questions they may have regarding the new Pilgrim banjos.”
