Bobby Tench
Bobby
Tench’s career spans thirty five years as an internationally
respected vocalist and accomplished guitarist who has
recorded and toured on both sides of the Atlantic. He
is best known for his work with Jeff Beck, Hummingbird,
Freddie King, Van Morrison, Humble Pie and Streetwalkers.
At the start of his career he performed and recorded
with his own band Gass, leaving to join the Jeff Beck
Group and appearing with Ginger Baker. An association
with Freddie King followed before he signed to A&M
records and formed Hummingbird. During this period he
also joined Roger Chapman and Charlie Whitney as a member
of Streetwalkers, before joining the Van Morrison Band.
When his commitments with Morrison came to an end he
moved on to work with others such as Eric Burdon, before
Steve Marriott included him in a new line up of Humblepie.
He has also recorded with others including Topper Headon,
Roger Chapman, Ruby Turner, Alan Price and Linda Lewis.
