Chris Corney
Solo Artist/ Producer/Ex. The Quireboys
“In
my studio, Italia guitars give me some really useful
and interesting tones, and on stage not only does the
Maranello bass deliver the low down thump I’m
looking for but with its crazy sparkle finish it looks
AMAZING on stage too!!” – Chris
Chris
Corney is a Producer & Solo artist from Bedfordshire,
England. He also plays bass guitar in legendary UK rock
band The Quireboys.
A few years ago Chris’ first major band of his
own ‘The Ravines’ debut album won the hearts
of the A&R people at Complete / Universal music
publishing, who offered him a publishing deal. The Ravines
album entitled ‘Manifesto Of A Broken Heart’
is now considered a bit of a cult classic amongst the
U.S powerpop scene. Chris has since released 2 solo
albums to critical acclaim.
As a producer / engineer Chris has worked with artists
such as Joe Elliott (Def Leppard), The Quireboys, Australian
artist ‘Trysette’, Katie Buckhaven, and
worked closely with Nashville publishing company S1
songs..
In 2010 after producing The Quireboys last 2 album’s
(and playing bass on one of them) the band asked Chris
to play full time with them, to which he gladly accepted..
The band is now enjoying somewhat of a much-deserved
resurgence. With new management / record label in place,
and some very high profile gigs / tours in the pipeline
the future looks very bright!
