Henry Tóth
Ace Slovakian fretburner Henry Tóth cites his guitar heroes as John MacLaughlan, Scotty Anderson, Jimi Hendrix and Rory Gallagher, plus he’s also a fan of erstwhile Pink Floyder Roger Waters and he also digs Mark Knopfler’s solo work. Being a serious shredder though means Henry’s spent his time in the past checking out fellow ‘speed’ guitarists like Paul Gilbert, Al Di Meola, Joey Taffola, Vinnie Moore and Allan Holdsworth. Henry’s schedule currently includes playing in two rock bands and a solo project. He explains that rock music fever has really taken hold in his native Slovakia and so far, his biggest gig was with the band Elan in 2004, at a concert in the country’s capital, Prague to an audience of over 100,000 people!
