FP10000QSP
LAB GRUPPEN FP10000Q SP AMPLIFIER A New Benchmark
For Touring Amplification Over the past decade,
the tight and transparent sound of Lab.gruppen
touring amplifiers has earned the praise of renowned
FOH engineers and leading sound rental companies
worldwide.
FP 10000Q, the flagship four-channel model of
new the FP+ Series, continues this tradition.
At the core of the FP 10000Q’s performance
is the patented Class TD output stage, a breakthrough
amplifier topology that approaches the exceptional
efficiency of class D while retaining the sonic
purity of proven class A/B designs. Further contributing
to the remarkable efficiency of the FP 10000Q
is a Regulated Switch Mode Power Supply (R.SMPS),
which gives the added benefit of stabilizing rail
voltages to the output even with wide fluctuations
of mains voltage. A highly refined and updated
circuit layout optimizes the interaction of R.SMPS
and Class TD to produce the extraordinary power
density of the FP 10000Q.
To keep its cool under extreme demands, the FP
10000Q relies on Lab.gruppen’s proprietary
Intercooler®. This innovation uses thousands
of copper fins to multiply the exposed heatsink
surface’s rapid heat dissipation. Also,
all output devices are mounted transverse to the
airflow for uniform cooling. As a result, the
FP 10000Q delivers Lab.gruppen’s’
trademark “all the power, all the time”
with no degradation of sonic performance.
To maximize headroom in any application, the FP
10000Q offers adjustable input gain along with
Lab.gruppen’s exclusive Voltage Peak Limiter
(VPL). Adjustable on a per-channel basis, VPL
optimizes the output for any load, from a single
massive subwoofer to a series of HF compression
drivers.
The comprehensive warning and protection features
on the FP 10000Q safeguard output circuits and
connected loads while also extending amplifier
life and minimizing chance of service interruptions.
Whether it’s a matter of faulty wiring,
improper use, or extreme ambient temperatures,
the FP 10000Q gives clear indication of any problems.
Automatic protection measures engage only at critical
thresholds. Operating conditions are checked every
six seconds and, if a fault is detected, normal
operation is resumed when measurements return
to nominal.
The FP 10000Q is shipped with a NomadLink®
network interface as standard. In conjunction
with DeviceControl software, NomadLink® allows
monitoring of all key amplifier parameters and
remote control of power on/off, channel mutes,
and channel solo functions.
(NomadLink® requires the separate NLB 60E
NomadLink Bridge and Network Controller).
•
Very high power and channel density

More about the LM26
The LM 26 is a full-featured, 2-in/6-out stand-alone
digital audio loudspeaker processor. Based on
the highly acclaimed Lake Processing technology,
it provides seamless compatibility with Lab.gruppen’s
PLM™ Series Powered Loudspeaker Management™
systems as well as with all Dolby® Lake Processors
and earlier versions of the technology, including
Mesa Quad™ and Contour™.
The LM 26’s easily programmable EQ and delay
capabilities allow quick reconfiguration for use
as processor and line driver for self-powered
loudspeaker applications as well as for systems
using separate power amplifiers.
In step with the flexible Lake Processing technology
implemented in the PLM Series, the LM 26 will
accept audio signals as analog, AES digital, or
via Audinate’s advanced Dante digital audio
network at 48 kHz and 96 kHz sampling rates.
Automatic input priority switching may be enabled
for fail-safe signal redundancy. Additionally,
the unit can function as both an input matrix
mixer and Dante break-in and break-out box.
Exclusive Lake processing features incorporated
in the LM 26 include Raised Cosine Equalization;
linear phase and classical crossovers; and LimiterMax
peak and RMS limiters. The Super Module capability
allows flexible grouping of processor channels
across separate hardware frames, including prior
Lake products and PLM Series units.
All functions are controlled via wired or wireless
networking by the Windows®-based Lake Controller
software application. The Lake Controller user
interface is optimized for use on a tablet computer
to allow easy system adjustments from any point
in the venue.
A universal power supply with detachable mains
cable allows worldwide use.
LM44
LAKE DIGITAL AUDIO LOUDSPEAKER PROCESSOR Identical in many
respects to the LM 26 Digital Audio Loudspeaker
Processor, the LM 44 is distinguished primarily
by a
different input/output configuration. The LM 44
provides four analog input and four analog outputs,
in contrast to the LM
26’s 2-in/6-out. In addition, the LM 44 accommodates
8-in/8-out AES3 and 4-in/8-out Dante digital audio
transport. The
LM 44 benefits from the latest implementation of
Lake’s iconic ‘Mesa EQ’ configuration,
utilising 4 Mesa modules, each
with an independent input mixer and output signal
processing chain.
With this configuration, the LM 44 is ideally suited
for a wider number of different FOH applications,
including as a mixmatrix and full system EQ –
sitting between a mixer and virtually any high-end
performance loudspeaker system – switching
between consoles on large events, inserted EQ for
monitor systems, FOH to stage digital transmission,
line driver for self-powered systems, and as a Dante
break-in/break-out box.
With its flexible 4 * 4 input configuration, one
or more LM 44 units can replace the now-discontinued
Dolby Lake Processor in most applications. It also
offers a cost-effective, scalable alternative to
other larger and more expensive
processors in situations when only a 4 x 4 analog
I/O configuration (or multiples of this) is required.
Additionally, LM 44 can be operated in Contour mode
configuration (two contour modules) allowing for
utilisation as a
loudspeaker crossover processor, much like the intended
operation of LM 26. Inputs that are not routed to
the processing
modules (in each mode) may be passed through to
the output router. As with the LM 26, all three
signal types – Dante,
AES and analog – are maintained simultaneously,
with user-prioritised automatic failover and dual
redundancy, eliminating single point of failure.
The LM 44 integrates fully into all existing Lake
system inventories, including PLM Series and LM
26, as well as with
Dolby Lake Processors and all other legacy Lake
devices – all controlled together via Lake
Controller software, providing
unrivalled flexibility and ease of use for existing
Lake users.
