Trevor Newnham
Session Player, Head of Bass Studies Access to Music
In 12 years as a professional bassist, Trevor Newnham has notched
up touring and recording credits with acts such as Sir Cliff
Richard, The Foundations, Jimmy James and the Vagabonds, the
Kursaal Flyers and Geno Washington to name but a few. A regular
in the pit orchestras of the West End and UK with theatre credits
including Dancing In The Streets, Grease, The Carpenters’
Story, Sisters of Soul and Reach Out (UK
tour), Trevor can also be heard on the forthcoming album 'DaVinci
and the Justice Department' featuring ex-Rubettes vocalist,
Paul DaVinci.
But that’s not all...by day, Trevor is a busy college
lecturer in Bass Studies at The British Academy Of New Music
in London, one of Access to Music's UK-wide centres for performance-related
projects.
