The reverse-fitted neck humbucker and out of

Differential bell type control knobs, battle

Trev's

"When I was young and in a band, we supported

ICON Series
Nothing
gives off that unique, so-cool vibe like a guitar that’s
obviously seen some serious use. Like a battle-scarred
warrior that always gives its best, the instrument’s
character shines through the worn finish, saying ‘this
guitar has paid its dues’. Its sound has the heart
and soul of a thousand gigs in it and you can feel it
when you play it. It feels special to hold, and special
to play.
But how many people can afford the vintage instrument
of their dreams? That special instrument which displays
a unique level of wear from decades of playing –
at home, numerous rehearsal sessions, smokey pubs to working
mens’ clubs, gigs and tours at home and abroad?
Or how many guitarists can wait 20 years before their
own guitar starts to show that kind of time-related character?
Now
you don’t have to wait! You don’t even have
to re-mortgage the house to make the payment. Renowned
guitar specialists Vintage®, in conjunction with acknowledged
guitar guru, Trevor Wilkinson, have a new specially-aged
electric guitar range that ticks all the boxes –
the Vintage ICON™ Series!
These fantastic guitars, fully equipped with equally aged
Wilkinson tuners, hardware and pickups look like they’ve
been played for decades with all the marks, wear and tear
to prove it. They’ve been through the mill but they’re
cool and ready for the next gig.
Get one of the new Vintage ICON™ Series guitars
and save 20 years of your life! Best of all, you won’t
believe the price...

Each
hand made Vintage® Icon Series™“Fool”
guitar is a true, ‘one of a kind’
instrument, with unique artwork exquisitely
and individually hand painted, in oils, in a
faithful re-creation of the iconic guitar from1967,
based upon artwork commissioned by the late
George Harrison of The Beatles, for the giant,
world famous, mural painted on the wall of London’s
famous Beatles-owned Apple Boutique by the Dutch
art collective, known as “The Fool”.
The art collective went on to re-create the
vibe of the Apple Boutique mural, in miniature,
on one of George Harrison’s guitars, which
Harrison had given to his friend Eric Clapton.
The guitar has come to be known as “The
Fool” after its creators. The original
guitar was used almost constantly by Eric Clapton
in Cream, and eventually ended up in the hands
of legendary US performer, Todd Rundgren.
“The Fool” is one of the most instantly
recognisable guitars in the world. Paying homage
to an earlier era of psychedelia, and some truly
exceptional, all time classic guitar sounds,
the Vintage® Icon series™ “VS6
Fool” is memorabilia brought to life,
an exciting salute to a time of unrestrained
artistic interaction, and creative freedom in
pop art and rock music.

WTB Bridge
This classic 3-saddle design has been around for over 50 years
and is still regarded as the ultimate ‘tone machine’.
Staggered brass saddles offer individual string intonation never
before available in a design of this type, still widely regarded
as the‘tone machine’. The baseplate itself is a faithful
reproduction of the original, made from steel, very important
in a bridge of this style due to the tonal effect it has on the
magnetic field of the pickup
mounted in it.

On the tremolo-equipped VRS guitars, the exclusive
‘wave’ knife edge design gives this
sleek bridge the smoothest action of any of any
fulcrum vibrato available anywhere. With a stamped
steel ‘heat hardened’ top plate, the
Wilkinson® vibrato also offers solid stainless
steel saddles, push-in tremolo arm and the Wilkinson®
‘stagger drilled’ block for unrivalled
tuning stability.
A truly ultra-modern look with classic values.
The fixed bridge VRS110STS guitar features a tidy
and efficient intonated wrap-over bridge/tailpiece
combination. This robust style of bridge system
has seen a resurgence of popularity in the last
few years thanks to its authentic tonal quality,
the simplicity and effectiveness of the original
50’s design possessing a unique and individual
appeal.
The tonal powerhouse of the VRS guitars is the
Wilkinson® double coil pickups. Meticulously
designed by Trevor, their classically-voiced,
meaty double coil tone will capture the heart
of even the most sceptical of guitarists. Using
straightforward volume and tone controls with
a 3-way toggle switch, these versatile guitars
move from fruity-toned neck pickup sounds to flat-out
bridge pickup excitement – VRS guitars pack
tone with punch!
Sumptuous carved tops of striking flame maple
with matching headstock facing, radiused edges
and neatly scalloped body cutaways add an air
of aspiration and sophistication to the VRS series.
