High
performance, low cost guitar and bass hardware designed
by the UK’s leading guitar guru – Trev
Wilkinson.
Wilkinson
brings many years of expertise and engineering knowledge
to a new range of guitar and bass hardware.
These new designs may be LOW in price but they are
BIG on features and function.
Wilkinson guitar and bass hardware was established
20 years ago in California and its simple, functional,
user friendly designs have become "standards
of the industry".
They are demanded by professional players and discerning
guitar companies around the world.
This new range pays homage to the more ‘traditional’
styles of the past but, by utilising many of the features
of the unique Wilkinson designs, we feel that they
are unsurpassed in tone, style and function. Extra
special attention has been paid to all key areas of
the manufacturing process.
Whether you are building a ‘vintage style’
instrument or a new ‘cutting edge design’
guitar or bass, you will find the answer to your hardware
choice here in this comprehensive catalogue.
Wilkinson parts are fitted as standard on Electric
& Bass guitars.
Staggered polepieces with chamfered Alnico V
magnets. Chamfering the polepieces focuses the
magnetic field giving good highs but still allowing
some mids to come through to stop the pickup
sounding thin. Middle pickup is reverse wound/reverse
polarity. Bridge pickup
is slightly overwound for better balance.
WHSN Neck – £31.99
WHSM Middle – £31.99 WHSB Bridge – £31.99
Higher
output version of the WVS.
Non-staggered flat polepieces, ideal if you
use a lot of effects. Featuring Alnico V magnets,
the WHS pickups are rich in harmonics and natural
sustain. Neck and middle pickups make
the best choice for balance if you are running
a Humbucker in the bridge position on your guitar.
Bridge pickup slightly overwound for better
balance.
A
matched pair of early 60's voiced pickups. This
classic combination has been used for the last
40 years to create all styles of music from Country
to Rock, Blues and even Jazz. Bridge pickup has
raised polepieces for that extra bite.
Open
coil style Humbucker with a higher output than
the WVC. Harmonically rich with tight lower
frequency response. Special windings with ceramic
magnets give good highs without sounding thin.
Nickel silver backing plates complete this high
quality pickup.
WVHZN Neck – £32.99 WVHZB Bridge – £32.99
Whilst
the original spec for Humbucker bobbins was
black, a shortage of these items on the production
line in the 1950’s resulted in bobbins
being sourced in "virgin" material
(ivory coloured plastic), hence when guitarists
started to remove their brass covers, they discovered
that some guitars contained what have become
known as "Zebra pickups". Some people
believe these are the best sounding humbuckers
ever. I just think they look great, and by using
the same windings as our WVC pickup, they are
as authentic sounding as anything currently
available.
A
true classic pickup, wound to the same specification
as given to Trevor Wilkinson by the creator
of the humbucking pickup design, Seth Lover
himself. This is an accurate a PAF-style pickup
as is available today.
The
P90 style of pickup has seen a resurgence in
its popularity during the last few years, as
players have really come to appreciate its unique
tone. The W90 delivers a fatter sound similar
to a humbucker, but retains the brightness and
clarity of a single coil unit.
The W90SK is a stacked version of the W90 passive
ceramic magnet unit. With black covers, the
stacked W90SK offers improved hum cancelling
response.
WMSHN Neck – £26.99 WMSHB Bridge – £26.99
Available
in black only, these full size humbucking pickups
are passive, ceramic magnet units, designed
for neck and bridge position placement. They
feature individually adjustable polepieces for
balanced and accurate string response.
WMSSNB Neck/Middle – £22.99
This
single coil pickup is a passive, ceramic magnet
unit, suitable for neck and middle position
placement. Features adjustable polepieces for
improved accurate individual string response.
These
versatile narrow field humbuckers, with Alnico
V magnets, have a sound all of their own. The
perfect cross between the high end of a single
coil and the warmth of a humbucker, with the
added bonus of ‘no noise’.
Available with either chrome or gold cover options,
complete with their own black collar surrounds.
WC90NP90
Single Coil – Neck– £49.99
WC90B P90 Single Coil – Bridge
– £49.99
If
you’re a fan of the P90 pickup but prefer
the look of the polished nickel covers on
the units fitted to some of the classic late
50’s/60’s and onward semi-acoustic
electric guitars, then the Wilkinson P90 is
also available in neck and bridge formats
with a smart nickel cover, with the classic
‘dog ear’ pickup mountings.
Alnico
V magnets and original spec dimensions give
this pickup set a warmly authentic tone and
sound. Offering a correctly-voiced medium output
which is rich in harmonics, the WBP units deliver
full hum-cancelling performance.

WVC
Since its introduction in 1954, this classic
design is the most copied guitar vibrato bridge
ever.
The design is so simple and eminently usable
it is a challenge to improve on it, but improve
it we did!
Faithfully reproducing the size and weight
of the original, this is a direct retro-fit
for the "real thing" but with the
added benefit of a push-in vibrato arm (rather
than the troublesome original screw-in type).
We also staggered the string holes in the
sustain block allowing the strings to follow
the natural intonation line of the saddles,
keeping the strings' "angle of attack"
over the saddle's intonation point more consistent,
eliminating annoying string "hang-up"
giving unrivalled tuning stability.
Completing the assembly are the bent steel
saddles built from the same gauge steel as
the originals to retain the "vintage
sparkle" that this bridge has become
famous for.
WVC SB
All the features of the WVC with the added
benefit of a SOLID STEEL sustain block, a
feature never before available in a vibrato
bridge at this price point.
WV2
Two pivot screws are considered by some to
give a better fulcrum action than the six
screw "classic design". If this
is your choice then this is the "vintage"
bridge for you. This bridge is supplied with
pivot posts that utilise inserts to give them
the structural stability needed when only
two fulcrum posts are used. Adjustable for
height, this bridge can be "Floated"
above the guitar body for ultra smooth vibrato
effects. Push-in vibrato arm, vintage spec
bent steel saddles and "stagger drilled"
block are all featured on this model.
WV2 SB
Same specifications as the WV2 but with a
SOLID STEEL sustain block.
WVP
The exclusive Wilkinson Wave knife edge design gives this sleek bridge the smoothest action of any
fulcrum vibrato available anywhere, at any price! Features include a stamped steel heat hardened top plate. Solid stainless steel saddles. Push-in arm and Wilkinson design stagger-drilled block for unrivalled tuning stability. A truly ultra modern look with classic values.
WV6
Providing a bridge which offered the unsurpassed
"tone transfer" of a
6-screw pivot system but with the smooth
fulcrum action of a 2 pivot set-up was a
challenge we could not resist.
By utilising the unique Wilkinson "5+1"
knife-edges it is now possible. One hole
to locate the vibrato laterally whilst the
remaining 5 elongated slots eliminate the
chance of screws binding in the holes, resulting
in a "return to original position"
second to none! Push-in vibrato arm, vintage
spec bent steel saddles, and "stagger
drilled" block are also included on
this model.
WVPC
A modern twist on the classic design. Ultra
smooth under a player's hand, with a sleek,
low-profile surround restricting the sideways
movement of the SOLID STAINLESS STEEL saddles,
the WVP range of vibratos is the ultimate
in comfort and performance. Ideally suited
to more contemporary guitar designs, this
family of bridges looks far more expensive
than it is.
Features include a stamped steel "heat
hardened" top plate with
6-screw pivot mounting. Push-in arm and
Wilkinson design
"stagger-drilled" block for unrivalled
tuning stability. WVPC SB
A solid steel sustain block creates the
ultimate WVPC bridge.
WVS50
Featuring the exclusive Wilkinson knife
edge design, these precision-machined

to zero' performance every time.

edge design, these precision-machined
vibrato systems feature steel base plates,

WVP6
A 6-screw vintage-style system but with
the smooth fulcrum action of a 2 pivot
set-up. The unique Wilkinson "5+1"
knife-edge eliminates the chance of screws
binding in the holes, resulting in a "return
to original position" second to none!
Push-in vibrato arm, stainless steel saddles,
and "stagger drilled" block
make this an ideal upgrade for your old
vintage bridge. WVP6 SB
Solid steel sustain block version of the
WVP6.
WTB This
classic 3-saddle design has been around
for over 50 years and is still regarded
as the ultimate "Tone machine".
Now with the staggered brass saddles,
we have achieved individual string intonation
never before available in a design of
this type. The baseplate is a faithful reproduction
of the original and is steel –
this is very important in a bridge of
this style due to the effect it has
on the magnetic field of the pickup
mounted in it.

This bass guitar bridge is a perfect
example of the saying, "less
is more". Authentic barrel-style
brass saddles mounted on the correct
gauge bent steel baseplate creates
the perfect reproduction vintage
bass bridge, as fitted to the original
instruments. Whether you are looking
to replace your existing bridge
or creating a handmade instrument,
this should be your first choice
for "classic tone".

GTB
This style of "wrap-over"
guitar bridge/tailpiece combination
has seen a resurgence of popularity
in the last few years.
Its appeal and sound quality lie
in the simplicity of the original
design. However, individual string
intonation left a little to be desired.
Now with the addition of a movable
G and B saddle, many different string
gauges can be perfectly tuned to
make your guitar sound even better.
