Scanner SU16 UHF radio-microphone series provides rock-solid
RF and audio quality. The SU16 is a versatile,compact 16-channel
system with 1/2U rack receiver, compact transmitters and
high-profile performance.
The Scanner SU16 Series operates in the UHF band, free from
lower- frequency channel saturation and interference, with
transparent ultra-high fidelity sound and an incredible
130db dynamic range provided by dual audio compander circuitry.
Utilising switched diversity receiver technology, ensuring
minimum drop-out and maximised RF capture, the Scanner SU16
will remain reliable in demanding environments.
SU16 systems offer professional users professional performance.
16 user-selectable, pre-set UHF channels, with channel spacing
which enables up to 16 channel simultaneous use in most
operating circumstances, supplemented by adjustable sub-carrier
tone squelch for further interference suppression, the SU16
provides reliable multi-channel operation and huge flexibility
of use.
The Scanner SU16 UHF Series includes the SU16 hand-held
outfit complete with carry case, separate receiver unit,
belt pack transmitter with Switchcraft Tini® QG connectors,
dedicated aerobics headset microphone, speciality vocalists
headset microphone, lavalier tie-clip microphone, accessory
instrument cable, accessory XLR cable and road tough-moulded
ABS carry case.

SU16
Hand Held 16 Channel Diveristy UHF System
The
Scanner SU16 hand-held UHF diversity radio-microphone system
offers the superior performance of UHF and the enhanced operation
of switched diversity reception and is supplied complete as
an outfit, with SCS1 road tough moulded ABS carry case.
Easy to use and operate, the SU16 features a comfortable, balanced,
hand-held microphone housed in a high-impact ABS case with a
premium dynamic capsule for exceptional headroom. With 130db
dynamic range the SU16 will capture all the subtleties of every
performance.
Low-drain circuitry gives extended operating life. A receiver
on/off switch with combined battery status indicator shows battery
condition at switch-on and monitors battery usage during operation
to indicate impending battery depletion via a high intensity
LED.
The switch plate also incorporates a rotary switch for channel
selection and a two stage gain switch enabling the SU16 to accommadate
all vocal styles.
The Scanner SU16 receiver, used with all SU16 systems, is housed
in a high-impact 1/2U ABS case featuring twin TNC antennae connections,
balanced XLR, unbalanced jack outputs and variable squelch control.
The front panel features power on/off switch with indicator
LED, RF signal strength indicator, diversity signal acquisition
indicator, AF signal strength indicator, RF tester to aid free
channel selection, channel selector and audio level output.
The Scanner SU16 receiver can be powered with the dedicated
PSU supplied, or any appropriate 18-15v d.c. source. Single/multiple
receivers can be rack-mounted using the Scanner MP50 19 IEU
rack adaptor.

The
Scanner SU16 belt pack transmitter is designed for
use with SU16HMA aerobics headset, SU16HMV vocalists
headset, SU16LUM lavalier tie-clip microphone, SU16IC
instrument cable and SU16XLRC male XLR cable.
Housed in a high-impact ABS case featuring on/off
switch with battery status indicator which shows battery
condition at switch-on and monitors battery usage
during operation to indicate impending battery depletion
via a high-intensity LED.
Automatic switching is incorporated to accept either
instrument or microphone inputs via the recommended
accessory cables. The SU16 transmitter pack is also
suitable for use with dynamic condenser or phantom-powered
microphones.
A concealed control plate houses the channel selector
switch and gain controls for instrument and microphone
levels.

The Scanner S3 transmitter unit is an ergonomically designed
hand held microphone, featuring a high energy dynamic capsule.

Keep
using your favourite microphone, just plug the Scanner S4-AD
'plug-in' transmitter directly in to the XLR on your mic,
turn on and transmit.
Wireless
Freedom.
Suitable
for vocalists, brass and woodwind mics, as a guitar system,
even for radio links. For use with dynamic, electret or
phantom powered electret condenser mics, the wide, flat
frequency response of the S4-AD preserves the tonal quality,
whichever mic or instrument is used with it.
Low
drain circuitry ensures long battery operating life, with
the transmitter control panel featuring a recessed on /off
switch, and selectable phantom powering and high intensity
LED battery status indicator, showing battery condition
at switch on and monitoring battery usage during operation
to indicate impending battery depletion.
The
S4 transmitter pack's locking collar ensures a rock solid
connection to whatever it's plugged in to, for peace of
mind and trouble-free operation.
The
Scanner S4-AD receiver, housed in a high impact 1/2U ABS
case, provides TNC antenna connection, unbalanced 1/4"
mono jack output, and variable audio output level. The front
panel features power on/off switch with indicator LED, RF
lock indicator LED and AF operation LED.
The
Scanner S3 receiver unit can be powered with the dedicated
psu supplied, or any appropriate 12-15V DC source, and has
edge flanges allowing single/multiple units to be combined
for rack mounting in a standard 19" IEU rack using
the MP50 rack mount unit.
A
handy leather pouch (BP-S4) allows the transmitter pack
to be clipped on to a belt or strap and is available as
an optional extra.
The
Scanner S4-AD is available on five frequencies to operate
under EC Directive 99/05/EC, without a license.
