About Bobby Tench

Bobby Tench’s career spans thirty five years as an internationally respected vocalist and accomplished guitarist who has recorded and toured on both sides of the Atlantic. He is best known for his work with Jeff Beck, Hummingbird, Freddie King, Van Morrison, Humble Pie and Streetwalkers.

At the start of his career he performed and recorded with his own band Gass, leaving to join the Jeff Beck Group and appearing with Ginger Baker. An association with Freddie King followed before he signed to A&M records and formed Hummingbird. During this period he also joined Roger Chapman and Charlie Whitney as a member of Streetwalkers, before joining the Van Morrison Band. When his commitments with Morrison came to an end he moved on to work with others such as Eric Burdon, before Steve Marriott included him in a new line up of Humblepie. He has also recorded with others including Topper Headon, Roger Chapman, Ruby Turner, Alan Price and Linda Lewis.
