With a striking Ventura Green top coat that’s been hand-sanded to reveal areas of the (American alder or Eastern poplar?) body, this beautiful Vintage V6 HSS ProShop, like all models from the series, evokes stunning individuality, as a one-off custom guitar that’s been through the hands of the Vintage ProShop team of skilled luthiers.
Specifically designed to the specifications of a Vintage guitar enthusiast, who asked the team for an incredibly accurate and authentic model, that looks like for decades it’s been played in just about every club on the live circuit, carefully loved by the owner who couldn’t resist temptation to ‘mod’ the pickup system along the way.
Whilst this beautiful instrument features time-tested hardware that’s also been aged with a subtle approach, and which includes Wilkinson WJ55 patented E-Z-Lok tuners, a Wilkinson WVC vibrato bridge and a pair of balanced set of Wilkinson WVS vintage-voiced Alnico V pickups with the centre coil reversed wound with reverse polarity for hum cancelling duties, our Vintage customer requested the installation of a high output, WHBB open double-coiled pickup at the bridge position, finished in black with matching black control knob, offset by the white aged, 3-ply scratchplate.
Custom spec’s also include a 9.5” (24.13cm) radius fingerboard and initials in green inlaid within the classic Vintage style headstock.

Body:
American Alder body provides resonance, tone and ‘correct weight’ comfort, enhanced with correctly radiused contoured body.
Vibrato:
The Wilkinson WVC vibrato bridge featured on the Vintage V6 is a masterpiece of detail. Positive location, 6 screw design provides return to pitch accuracy; perpendicular bend, high grade steel saddles enhance tonality and ‘snap’. Ground base plate corner provides authentic looks. Stagger drilled cast block significantly enhances return to pitch accuracy and classic vintage tone. The ‘push-in’ delrin-bushed arm with variable tension provides the arm feel that suits your style.
Pickups:
Two balanced Wilkinson WVS vintage-voiced Alnico V pickups at the neck and middle positions, with staggered, chamfered edge pole pieces, for authentic tone and contemporary power. Reverse wound, reverse polarity centre pickup provides hum cancelling in switch position 2 and 4, a Wilkinson open double coil WVC pickup in the bridge position provides high output and hum cancelling performance.
Controls:
Single master Volume control with Tone control 1 for the neck pickup, and ‘Custom Mod' Tone control 2 for both the middle and bridge pickup. Five-way selector switch.
Machine Heads:
Wilkinson WJ55 patented E-Z-Lok machine heads. Simple, effective locking action for increased tuning stability. Staggered string post heights provide correct string rake angle for smooth vibrato action and correct playing tension.
Neck:
Hard rock Maple with classic Vintage ‘soft C’ profile for instant comfort, speed, accuracy and great feel.
Fingerboard:
Rosewood for outstanding tonal transfer, responsiveness and durability with a 9.5 inch radius for superb playability and feel.

22 Medium profile frets add to comfort, accuracy and overall positive feel of the Vintage V6.
